transparent labels

Is it possible to have ui.Labels with transparent background?
As an example, I would need to overlap a label on top of a picture...

If you need to do that maybe a Canvas will be more appropriated ?

Yes, but there are still simpler use cases where you need just to put a transparent label on some background.
Maybe in a future release...
