About Tableview/Grid widget

Could someone point me to some screen captures of some Luart gridviews or tableviews,
I'm still waiting for a pc to install Luart and wondering how do content table list look alike,
i.e several col/rows with data in.

*I m planing on building a search field with db to display fields in a grid

For now there is no table/grid kind of widget in LuaRT.

what a bummer, I'd figure this is due to LuaRT targetting more the Game Dev rather than the Office Admin apps..?!!

LuaRT is a multipurpose programming framework, and a table widget is definitively on my todo list. But there is not enough time in a day 😅

Samir oh, interesting.
I was reading from other language dev that its quite a pile of work to build it.
Do you think its doable using only Lua lang ?
I've been playing a bit with Julia, Lua and Elixir but not sure I'd have the level of knowlwdge to be of some help in that widget...

To implement such a widget, it will need C knowledge to use the Windows API.

Not very complicated, but I'm working on a new tool for LuaRT for now.

Any update on a plan to make available a table/grid widget? It is a very important component for desktop apps...

No steve, still focusing on LuaRT 1.8.0 but it won't include a gris/table widget.

LuaRT codebase has grown and every new feature needs a lot of testing, and I am alone at maintening it...

Samir I understand. Are you aware of any freeware "gridview" COM object that could be used in the meanwhile?

Don't think it's possible as COM gui widgets depends on ActiveX that is not yet available in LuaRT

Is LuaRT 1.9.0 adding some support for grids/tables?

No it won't. I have started a Grid widget but was not satisfied with the implementation.
