i think i found the error

...\LuaRT\LuaRT-Studio\bin\luart.exe
These two files produce different results. My PATH definition is "...\LuaRT\bin\luart.exe", although both should have given correct results.🤔

ok i will make the path definition as bin folder in "LuaRT-Studio" then there will be no problem

When I open and run it from this folder with Notepad++, everything is normal, but when I copy this file to other places, it still does not work.

and even when I use "LuaRT Studio" instead of notepad++ I have the same problem. In summary, it cannot compile these sample files and newly written codes in any folder other than example.

Did you try to double click on the Lua script in the Windows explorer ?

With LuaRT you can run scripts directly from the Windows explorer by double clicking on it, as if you want to open a Word file (by double clicking a .doc or .docx file). You should try to see if PATH and file association are correctly set

I still have problems with the computer at work, while I do not have a problem with the computer at home. I've never had this kind of problem with LuART Studio before. this is so weird. LuaRT does not allow me to run files in any folder other than the example folder, but I have this problem only in the canvas module.

This is because you script is named as the LuaRT canvas module !
By doing this, LuaRT Studio don't stop to reload the canvas.lua module again and again !

Just rename your current script with another name and everything should work as expected.

That's because when requiring for a module, Lua search path always starts with the current folder.

Do you have the same problem with the "audio" module ?

I don't get an error message on audio module in my work computer at work, but there is no sound, but this may be due to my computer at work, I'm not sure. I have no problems with my computer and laptop at home.

I really think your Computer at work has some security protection that prevent LuaRT Studio exeute LuaRT scripts correctly.

I have tried to run canvas examples from other places on my hard drive, on my Windows 11 computer and on another Windows 10 computer and I can't reproduce what you describe.

It was as you said. Problem solved. 🙂 However, it would be better if a program name "Canvas.lua" would not throw an error. it doesn't matter much because my lua programs and new modules can run at work without any problems.

It will be the same for any script that uses the same name as a binary module name, cannot do much about that, it's default Lua behaviour 🙃

Samir I think I found the source of the problem.

I'm going to start making another simple game this weekend using the Canvas module. Now it will be more fun 🙂
According to the laws of physics, two separate teams will fight each other, changing the angle and speed values, and throwing cannonballs at each other. Whoever hits the other first will win the game. It will be a simple game but I think it will be fun
