Using :

ui.update(number)

function canvas:onPaint()

creates problems. (C stak overflow error)

Yes I'm not surprised, in fact the ui.update() function calls the onPaint() function and so on until the C stack is exhausted.
I'll see if I can avoid this.

For the moment, if you really need to call ui.update() during rendering, you should disable the canvas.sync property by setting it to false.
This way the onPaint() event won't be fired, and you will need to put all the drawings inside the ui loop.

I tried luart canvas.
on pc with intel graphic card, it did not work with image:draw ,
and on pc with nvdia graphic card, it did work without any problem.

Intel HD Graphics drivers have a known problem ....

yes, I have these drivers too, on my computer at work. At least now we know the source of the problem.

OK I have tested a new version of Canvas that should support any CPU/GPU by enabling software rendering if Direct2D hardware acceleration is not available.

It should work. It will be available in next LuaRT release 👍️
