GUI designer for LuaRT

Hi Community !

I've decided to pause the development of new features for LuaRT for the time being, only releasing bugfix releases as needed.

I will now devote my time to the development of a GUI design tool for LuaRT (made with LuaRT !). It will be simple and should allow you to create windows with widgets visually, a bit like Delphi or Visual Studio, but more basic (only the GUI designer).

In parallel, I'm still working on a LuaRT binary module to implement a widget that could extend desktop application development capabilities (more on this in the few next days !)

Until then, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your help in finding bugs and for giving your opinion to make LuaRT better.

Good idea Samir.
However, one thing I already mentioned to you and I feel important for desktop apps is a "canvas widget" to do at least some basic 2D graphics. Are you planning something in this direction?

Hi Community,

I'm working a lot to improve and update LuaRT. Meanwhile, I'm working on some new features.
Here is a little update on what's going on with LuaRT, and what to expect next :

I have a GUI designer working that can save/load to Lua files, still have to add some functionnalities before releasing it
audio binary module is now implemented and will be released soon
canvas binary module to provide drawing capabilities is implemented, but a little work is needed to make it more functional
I'm working on a codebase redesign with a better build system that will provide more adaptability for further LuaRT evolutions.

I hope these upcoming novelties will excite you as much as I am !
